About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical Estimator with a strong background in wind farms and substations to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing take-offs and cost estimates for industrial electrical projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in our bids.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for industrial projects, including wind farms and substations.
· Prepare and submit bid proposals on time
· Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to determine project requirements.
· Develop material and labor cost estimates to ensure competitive pricing.
· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather necessary project information.
· Identify and assess potential project risks and develop contingency plans.
· Track market trends, material costs, and labor rates to maintain up-to-date cost estimates.
· Assist in preparing bid proposals and reviewing contract terms.
· Maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
Qualifications:
· Experience: Minimum of 5 years in electrical estimating, specifically in wind farms and substations.
· Education: Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
· Proficiency in estimating software (Accubid, Trimble, Bluebeam) & MS Office.
· Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, power distribution, and construction processes
· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy.
· Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
