The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitations is seeking a conscientious team player who can improve collaboration and execute IT service delivery to various programs that supports CDCR mission.
Under general supervision of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the Information Technology Associate (ITA) will participate in a wide variety of consultative, analytical, and evaluative assignments for development, procurement, implementation, maintenance, and support of the Institution’s Information Services. The ITA will participate in the modification and enhancement of application programs. Responsibilities will include participation in the analysis of user needs, systems analysis, functional and detailed design, documentation, testing, installation activities, evaluation, user support, and training. The incumbent may also prepare work plans, written reports, and presentations. Travel to institutions and after hours support of technical systems may be required due to operational need.
Most positions at CDCR Enterprise Information Services are eligible for telework. This position requires local in-person duties to be performed although some telework may be available to employees who can satisfactorily perform their essential work functions independently and remotely. Specific telework schedules may be discussed further during the interview process. Telework is only available to residents of California.

Applicants who completed their education outside of the US (with foreign degrees/transcripts) must obtain and submit verification of U.S. course/degree equivalency. Foreign education credential evaluation services can be found at NACES | National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.
Candidates new to CDCR/CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, as well as a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
