Description:

Our client is a high profile manufacturer and distributer of a range of standard and customized packaging machinery solutions.
At this time we are looking for an experienced Technician to install, trouble shoot and service a variety of equipment such as form fill and seal machines, cartoners, pick and place robots and materials handling equipment etc .

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Installation of new equipment
  • Trouble shooting equipment in the field.
  • Conducting regular preventative maintenance and scheduled services as required.
  • Assisting the sales team with demonstrations.
  • Customer training.

It is envisaged that the successful applicant will be experienced in a comparable role or has worked with similar equipment as a maintenance fitter/electrician in a manufacturing environment.

However, it will be your ability to demonstrate the following skills and attributes that will be most highly regarded.

  • Minimum of 3-5 year’s experience in a similar role.
  • Competency in troubleshooting and repairing technical machinery.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • A working knowledge of PLC or microprocessor controlled equipment.
  • An affinity with and understanding of, the mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic aspects of process machines.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • An ability to work under pressure and display excellent customer service.
  • A strong eye for detail and a determination to do it right the first time.
  • Be a proactive self starter who builds strong client relationships and has a strong empathy with their needs.
  • Full electrical license or electrical disconnect / reconnect is highly desirable.

Ideally the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate definate leadership qualities, as the opportunity to advance within the business is genuine and a real possibilty within the shorter term.
