Intern Engineer

We are seeking motivated civil engineering graduates for positions in our Water & Wastewater Group and in our Municipal Group in either our Collingwood or Barrie offices.
The successful candidate will work as an Intern Engineer on projects involving the design of municipal infrastructure and/or servicing of land development projects including sanitary and storm sewers, storm water management systems, water mains, grading and roads and parking lots. An Intern Engineer in our Water & Wastewater group will be responsible for the Class EA planning, assessment and design of water and wastewater systems including pumping stations, treatment systems, storage facilities, and large subsurface disposal beds.
Work will include assistance with the preparation of the associated designs, reports, applications, cost estimates, and tender documents. Construction inspection and assistant contract administration roles may also be assigned.

KEY POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Civil engineering graduate enrolled in, or eligible for, registration in the PEO Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Program;
• minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a consulting engineering environment;
• strong communication, organizational and time management skills;
• strong technical and analytical skills (experience with Civil 3D would be advantageous);
• ability to work in a team structure and/or independently; and
• ability to manage multiple projects and work under minimal supervision.
