BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in IoT or M2M product development
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
- Proficiency with electronics design tools, such as Altium
- Experience with spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and other bench tools
- In-depth understanding of hardware and embedded systems
- Practical experience in creating new products
- Basic understanding of relevant technologies, software development methodologies, and programming languages
- Must be able to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other drafting tools
- Experience with iterative development and agile methodologies
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THIS ROLE
Our team is looking for an IoT Product Engineer that can innovate and deliver exceptional solutions to our customers. As a member of the design development team, your daily activities will include the full life-cycle of design, development, modification, testing, debugging, and support for new and existing hardware and firmware.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with product team to refine requirements
- Design and prototype electronic solutions
- Perform schematic capture and PCB layout
- Work with the firmware team for implementation
- Determine test requirements needed for the testing team
- Work closely with stakeholders and technical lead to see product through the entire development lifecycle
- Communicate with other hardware engineers to ensure correct system integration
- Facilitate prototype builds and general project implementation
- Provide support to production and field issues
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering best practices
- Interact with other departments to understand and break down business requirements
