The expected starting base salary for this position is $75,308 - $78,663 annually, depending on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience. Once hired, you will progress through a wider salary range over time as you continue to develop job knowledge, skills and competencies for the role.

YOUR EDUCATION & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Related IT Certifications in Office 365, preferably also in Azure
  • 3 to 5 years experience as an IT Coordinator with experience working with Microsoft licenses.
  • Experience with Office 365, Active Directory, Entra ID and Exchange is a must. Additional experience with PowerShell, Power BI, Power Query and Python is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills, including technical writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to follow established procedures, and to refer to others when needed.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills; ability to manage multiple needs simultaneously.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director, Information Technology, the IT Coordinator (ITC) is responsible for technology infrastructure management related to the administration of Active Directory, user licenses and user access and permissions. This includes managing group assignments, managing and auditing role assignments, working with People & Talent and Service Desk teams on onboarding and offboarding procedures, and creating SOPs for change requests and other systems documentation for on premise and cloud infrastructure and applications.
In addition, the ITC supports and participates in the development of current and future technology infrastructure projects, as well as liaising with other teams in Operations to provide feedback on roadblocks and issues. As part of the infrastructure team, the ITC works collaboratively to ensure that all components of BCCNM’s IT infrastructure, from hardware to software, to cloud services, function efficiently and securely.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Under the direction of the Director, Information Technology and working closely with Finance, assists with the planning, administration, monitoring and auditing of software licenses and related documentations.
  • Performs regular audits to ensure compliance with software licensing agreements.
  • Responds to support requests related to licenses, user access, and onboarding and offboarding of users.
  • Manages access rights for users to internal and external systems. Performs regular audits. Creates and deactivates application accounts for incoming and outgoing users.
  • Supports identification of operational issues and provides options and recommendations for resolution and/or optimization.
  • Identifies and develops automations to support process improvements and efficiency gains.
  • Identifies patterns of common user support issues and assists with identifying solutions through system changes or training.
  • Works closely with the Learning and Development Specialist to ensure appropriate user training is coordinated when deploying new systems, tools or processes.
  • Assists with performing system maintenance work and supports infrastructure projects as needed.
  • Assists with the launch of new and updated systems, tools, technologies, and processes.
  • Ensures continuous learning and knowledge sharing regarding infrastructure technologies and technology tools specific to the organization.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing learning related to Indigenous cultural safety and humility to constructively disrupt indigenous-specific racism in BC’s health care system.
