REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Upwards of 5 years extensive C coding experince.
  • Experience of producing Makefiles.
  • Experience with system integration.
  • Familiarity with Subversion.
  • Understanding of Red Hat Linux.
  • Ability to understand and support existing code.
  • Experience in the financial sector not essential but preferred
Responsibilities

ROLE: C PROGRAMMER

  • Location: Hybrid working (Working days in the office are negotiable, we anticipate 1 day per month after training, during training the successful individual would need to attend the office frequently)
  • Office Perks: Walking distance from Brentwood train station, free parking.
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm with 1 hour for lunch.
  • Workload: Write C code to refine and develop the existing Swift system.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be proficient compiling code using gcc and Makefiles.
  • Produce detailed technical specifications to allow Business Users to agree proposals.
  • Maintain and produce bash scripts.
  • Enhance existing modules within the Swift System.
  • Write new modules for the Swift system.
  • Maintain links with external systems.
  • Provide user support for Swift system issues.
  • Correct customer information as authorised.
  • Take part in the overnight on-call support rota
  • Assist with other IT tasks if required (User support and System Administration)
