About the role
The successful applicant will be responsible for working with multiple projects to understand and capture workflow requirements. Your role will be to support projects and ensure that the requirements are successfully captured, translated into design and delivered as solutions on the Appian platform. In addition to working with projects, you will also be required to work directly with business stakeholders to understand existing processes and assess the value of automating these.
In this role you will need to possess a good analytical mindset and strong communication skills. You will have the ability to interpret requirements into solutions, gathering feedback along the way and suggesting improvements. You will need to possess a strong desire to learn a new technology and to be able to get “hands on” with solutions, but ensuring that you exemplify best practices and manage risks along the way. You will possess a “can do” attitude and be able to come up with “outside the box” solutions when faced with challenges. You will be self-motivated and take a sense of pride at achieving your outcomes.
What will your day look like


Ensure that assigned business analysis activities are conducted within agreed cost parameters, ensures that the outputs and benefits are clear and that identified products provide efficiencies in business
Develop requirements that are fit-for-purpose, accurate and display an understanding of the financial implications to the project or program and manage the requirements throughout the life of the project
Propose measures that provide input to benefit metrics
As required, assist with activities in implementing the change and embedding BAU transition.
Assist the PM in the delivery of the project to budget
Work efficiently with the customer to elicit project requirements that are fit for purpose, recommending appropriate stakeholders to be involved with elicitation activities
Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and communicate requirements clearly and concisely
Validate requirements with the customer and the project team and provide input to ensure that proposed solutions meet customer expectations.
Work with the project team to ensure customer satisfaction with project deliverables
Adhere to established ANZ policy and procedures and display an understanding of project and program practices and governance
Display knowledge of software development processes, demonstrate ability to document and communicate requirements effectively and provide input for the improvement of development processes and performance
Support the analysis of project and program risks and issues, adhere to change control processes and requirements traceability throughout the life of the project or program in accordance with established effective document management
Participate in the continuous improvement of project and governance processes
Engage the PM to optimise and adjust project delivery in-line with broader divisional priorities and constraints
Display a positive attitude, operates with a collaborative approach and actively support the project manager in successful delivery of the project
Act as a reference for team members in the application of business analysis activities and elicitation techniques
Provide support to other business analysts and contribute to the professional development of the business analyst community at ANZ
Work with Business Analysis peers to improve, develop and promote the Business Analysis profession
What will you bring?
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Strong written/verbal communication skills is essential for this role
Advanced experience in Process Analysis, Critical Analysis and Problem Solving are important assets of Business Analyst to able understand/identify the complexity of the project, think about all aspects and related problems of the project and product potential solutions to them.
Experience with Agile methodology & strong project delivery with clear understanding of dependencies management & work breakdown structure.
Experience in creating and documenting project related documents like BRD/FRD and related change management documents.
Stakeholder Management & Leadership – Able to work with various level of stakeholders, senior to operations people to technical teams with strong leadership skills to manage deliverables and outcome to meet timelines.
Risk savvy – Build sustainable solutions that protect stakeholders & customers, proactively address risks by role-modelling improvements in the bank’s overall risk & control environment.
A collaboration champion – Collaborate & build the expertise, capabilities & engagement of team members that are embedded across multiple teams
Commercially savvy – Synthesise multiple sources of information & leverage strong relationships to make sound decisions.
Technical Awareness - A thirst & willingness to expand knowledge with new technologies bringing benefits into the team/Division
