Jouw rol
As an Investment Analyst at PGGM Investments, you and your colleagues are responsible for assets of around 250 billion euros. This way you can assure 4.4 million pension participants of a healthy financial future. A high return is of course very important, but it is not the ultimate solution. PGGM also pays close attention to the impact that its investments have on the environment and society. If they no longer meet our high sustainability standards, they will be sold or improved in consultation with management. This is possible because PGGM Investments actively uses its rights as a shareholder. We often make our voices heard in shareholder meetings, submit resolutions or support those of like-minded fellow shareholders. All this based on the idea that as long-term investors we want to create real value. Both financially and socially.
A selection of your tasks:
- You support the total portfolio management function by helping to investigate, understand and interpret financial market data.
- You cooperate with other internal teams on quantitative investment problems.
- You perform quantitative analysis to support our decision-making process.
- You help write investment research proposals.
- You actively contribute to the further development of our investment process and our tooling, so that we make even better decisions.
Jouw afdeling binnen PGGM
You will work for the Client Portfolio Analysis & Management team, which is part of the Fiduciary Management department of PGGM Investments. This team consists of three groups responsible for issues which impact all aspects of the portfolio, from macroeconomic and sustainability research, portfolio rebalancing and risk analysis through to financial markets valuations.
Jouw achtergrond
The position requires ambition and eagerness to learn and grow. Experience in the financial industry is desirable, but not strictly required. It is much more important that you are motivated to thoroughly delve into the subject matter and that you quickly master new things. With your proactive, results-oriented and cooperative attitude, you will soon be in the right place here!
You also take with you:
- A completed academic education and demonstrable affinity with financial markets, investing and sustainability
- 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience
- Very strong quantitative skills and affinity with data work; expertise in financial modelling and econometric skills would also be well regarded.
- Good programming skills and some level of programming experience (preferably in Python)
- Solid analytical and problem–solving skills
- Good command, i.e. speaking and writing, of the English language
