NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Junior Systems Engineer based in our Daytona Beach, Florida office.
This person is responsible for providing hands-on support for Windows and Linux server environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement system architecture enhancements, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios or similar solutions, proactively addressing issues to maintain optimal performance.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of system upgrades, patches, and migrations during maintenance windows.
  • Assist in managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other critical infrastructure services.
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures to facilitate knowledge transfer.
  • Handle escalated support tickets, diagnosing and resolving complex technical challenges in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network and security specialists, to implement and support integrated solutions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance system engineering skills.
  • Assist in implementing and enforcing security protocols, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
  • Estimated Travel : 15%

Required skills / experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in desktop support or a related IT role.
  • Familiarity with system administration tasks, virtualization, and cloud computing concepts.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles and protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to fast-paced, evolving
  • technologies.
  • Eagerness to learn and stay updated on new technologies and industry developments.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and end-users
  • Proficient on Company-provided hardware and software.
