Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Knauf is looking for an experienced Laboratory Technician to carry out the routine assessment of plasters, cornice, board, raw materials and related products used on site. Additionally, you will provide assistance with record maintenance. Ability to work with minimum supervision, high attention to detail is critical to the role.
The position allows to provide technical support to production processes and support with any production and product development trials. The role reports to the Quality Manager and is based out of our site in Port Melbourne, VIC. A strong commitment to safety, change management and a clear ability to impact outcomes and influence is essential to the role.
SOME RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Conducting quality testing and analysis for raw materials, Board Plant, Plaster mill and Compounds
- Ability to trouble shoot and document root cause analysis whilst assist with administrative tasks and QMS
- Approving/ rejecting products, raw materials, within scope of specifications and/or other defined limits
- Providing technical support for projects, trials, experiments and quality issues, as required
- Coordinating test results and writing technical reports is essential
- Reporting any incidence of non-conformance to relevant parties is critical
- General Laboratory duties or other tasks as assigned
