Law Clerk (Workers Compensation)
What are we looking for?
A rare and exciting opportunity has now arisen for a Law Clerk to join our Workers’ Compensation space in the Newcastle NSW office. This role is permanent full time position.
In this role you will assist solicitors in managing files. You will ensure the efficient day to day operation of the files including preparation of matters for assessment and trial. You will be the first point of call for clients within the practice area. You will use your analytical skills, customer service and superior communication skills.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Under Supervision of the experienced practitioner, you will provide advice to clients on matters relevant to the client’s legal claim.
- Interpret and apply relevant laws to matters within the practice group
- Assist in achieving positive resolution of client matters.
- Develop and manage positive relationship with clients, including expectation setting, providing regular communication regarding strategy, cost agreements and matter status
- Interpret and apply relevant legal procedure relating to client legal claims, ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations
- Work collaboratively with legal support team
