ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong experience in designing, coding and debugging real-time applications in C and/or C++ in an embedded environment
  • Working with Embedded SoC systems using baremetal, RTOS or Linux
  • Experience in porting and use of RTOS; Zephyr, FreeRTOS
  • Board and SoC bringup with JTAG and other debug tools
  • Debugging at application, driver and hardware levels
  • Interfacing to hardware and peripherals: SPI, I2C/SMBus, JTAG
  • Working with Heterogeneous multicore systems, including both scalar and vector processors
  • Use of modern SW development and test workflows (CI/gitlab/makefile/CMake/TDD etc.)
  • Good documentation, presentation and mentoring skills
  • Strong motivation for learning new skills and knowledge areas

USEFUL EXPERIENCE:

  • Memory and network interfacing, virtual memory, simulation and co-simulation
  • Firmware Update approaches and algorithms
  • Knowledge of communication protocols including mctp
  • Use of simulation and/or FPGAs for pre-silicon development
  • Command-line scripting with bash/sh, object-oriented Python
  • Understanding of SerDes technology
  • Exposure to high-speed signalling technologies; PCIe, CXL
  • Appreciation of Cryptographic algorithms and disciplines

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of Embedded firmware on Kandou’s silicon projects.
  • Ensure code quality via implementation and running of software test suites
  • Migration, consolidation and development of existing silicon debug software tools
  • Software design and support for our silicon design infrastructure
