Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people?
An independent specialist school in Somerset is looking for dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support students aged 10–18 with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs), autism, and other additional needs.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You’ll work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to create a calm, safe, and nurturing environment for learners who need a little extra support. This role is varied and rewarding—perfect for someone who truly cares about the wellbeing and development of young people.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Supporting students in lessons and through tailored 1:1 or small-group sessions
  • Helping young people re-engage with learning through encouragement and trust
  • Managing behaviour in a calm, consistent and positive way
  • Assisting with planning and setting up fun, accessible learning activities
  • Working as part of a supportive and passionate team
