As Legal Counsel, you will be a part of the APAC Legal Team on a range of legal activities including assistance with commercial contracting, preparation of legal documentation, provision of advice to stakeholders on relevant laws / regulation, corporate and technology operations in APAC, and corporate governance matters.

Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with:

  • Providing highly effective and timely legal advice to business managers in relation to general commercial contracts
  • Identifying and managing legal risks in the context of the overall commercial plans of the business
  • Drafting, negotiating, amending and reviewing legal documents
  • Providing assistance with M&A transactions and general corporate matters when required
  • Advising on data protection issues and privacy issues, keeping the business up to date with all legal developments
  • Fully visible and accessible within the business working closely with sales, contract teams and clients as required
  • Representing the business in meetings with existing and potential clients to protect the reputation and contractual relationships
  • Providing a balanced and robust commercial approach to negotiations
  • Assistance on handling any litigation and disputes that arise
  • Providing high quality precedents for internal use, and inputting on internal processes from a legal and corporate governance perspective

What you will bring:

  • 2-4 PQE lawyer, with experience gained in one or more of the following areas: technology law, corporate law or general commercial contracting, gained either in an in-house environment or in private practice
  • Experience/exposure in privacy and data protection will also be highly regarded
  • Good knowledge of contracts and commercial law principles and practices
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Developed communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Displaying a team ethos but with ability to work independently when required
  • Able to multitask, balance priorities and deliver to deadline
  • A proactive, professional and flexible approach to work
  • Humility, diligence and ability to work effectively in a team
