Description:

Our Leigh office is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to work within both the Wills, Trusts and Estates, and Family Departments.
Hours: Full time or Part time role would be considered for the right candidate.
Purpose of Role: To provide a high quality administration service to the Firm and its fee earners.
Responsible to: Partner.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:

  • Appropriate manual dexterity and keyboard skills.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously and convey information accurately.
  • Work calmly and accurately under pressure.
  • Prioritise tasks.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Transcription of digital dictation and copy work.
  • Making appointments for clients either in person or by telephone.
  • Taking calls and providing cover for reception as and when required’
  • Filing correspondence and paperwork.
  • Inputting information provided by fee earner onto the database as required.
  • Opening new files at the direction of the fee earner.
  • Ensuring confidentiality of all matters dealt with.
  • Maintain high professional standards, confidence and integrity.
  • Such other tasks as the Firm may from time to time require.
    Experience: Experience in a legal environment is preferred although not essential.
