JOB DESCRIPTION

Libraries Manager
What you’ll be doing

You’ll be responsible for the delivery of the key parts of Councils Library services. Supporting the development and management of projects, as well as supporting your teams to create welcoming, inclusive spaces that deliver on its goal of positive customer experiences. Including sound advice and effective management for the strategic direction and operations of:

  • Libraries.
  • Coaching and leadership of our Team Leaders.
  • Drive an innovative forward-thinking libraries culture.
  • Deliver a community well-being strategy within libraries.
  • Be open and transparent internally and externally through a customer centric focus.
  • Create a long-term libraries strategy that delivers on the evolving nature of libraries.
  • Asset management relating to the above areas, and
  • ensuring we meet legislative requirements in the above areas.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

What you’ll bring to the role
You’ll have experience working within a library environment and will be passionate about creating safe, welcoming environments for our communities.
You’ll have experience working with a range of external groups as well as various community groups.
You’ll be an epic people leader that enjoys working closely with your teams to get the best out of them.
