NEXUS TALENT CONNECT SEEKS A DYNAMIC LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY TO JOIN A MULTI-LOCATION FIRM!

As a Litigation Associate Attorney in our client’s Medical Malpractice Defense Group, you will engage in sophisticated and challenging litigation work for clients in North Carolina and nationwide. Our ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of litigation experience, with significant deposition experience. The position requires the ability to manage complex case assignments, strong communication, research and writing skills, and the ability to manage and communicate with clients on an ongoing basis. Medical Malpractice experience is preferred, but not required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
  • Active North Carolina bar license
  • 4+ years’ professional litigation experience
  • Strong technological skills, including proficiency with practice management systems and portals
  • Superior research skills, including the use of online services and databases
  • Project management skills, including the ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a high degree of confidentiality

Responsibilities:

  • Manage litigation cases, draft pleadings and motions, and represent clients in court.
  • Perform comprehensive legal research and provide strategic legal opinions.
  • Communicate with clients, provide updates, and develop strong client relationships.
  • Coordinate multiple projects and deadlines using practice management systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards.
