We are growing and are looking for a career-minded Logistics Assistant to join our team. You will be joining an organization that is quickly becoming a leader in the freight forwarding industry.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Must be able to work well as part of a team or independently
  • Dependable and Reliable
  • Previous experience with NAFTA, INCOTERMS, COO, HS Codes, B13, and other exports documentation is an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Track and trace track air, ocean, road, intermodal and courier shipments until delivery
  • Work with internal software to update shipment details
  • Obtain quotes from various carriers and evaluate pricing/quotes
  • Negotiate pricing with carriers and in addition source for new potential carriers
  • Prepare bill of ladings, packing lists, Customs Documents, Certificates of Origin, NAFTA documentation, B13, Import and Export Permits, etc.
  • Verify bill of ladings against packing slips and purchase orders
  • Ensure documentation is accurately processed, distributed and released to carriers, customers and agents in a timely manner
  • Ensure timely resolution of freight requests and troubleshooting
  • Act as primary back-up for other sales department trade & logistics coordinators during absences
  • Provide high-quality customer service to all customers
