Responsibilities:

  • Manage and strengthen key organization relationships with, but not limited to, Fire Chiefs, Principal officers, department leaders and Firefighters, etc.
  • Work closely with the Segment Sales Manager to identify relationship building opportunities and provide guidance, lend support, and coordinate visits to enhance MSA’s position with the administration.
  • Work to coordinate and plan MSA’s presence at strategic events and relationship building opportunities.
  • Attend Regional steering team
  • Participate in Voice of Sales and arrange Voice of Customer participants in new product development projects.
  • Partner with Training & Service department to support service & maintenance performance, product training and other new product implementation
  • Acquire and maintain product training certification and other related advanced product
  • Partner with Marketing Managers, corporate stakeholders, and Segment Manager to support key fire service training academies and organizations to expose firefighters to MSA products.
  • Provide effective monthly updates and details on account.
  • Use Salesforce to document customer activities, visits, and provide commentary on new business opportunities.
  • Report trends and competitive activity within the account that could potentially affect MSA’s share.
  • Provide a high level of customer satisfaction and build customer loyalty within the strategic account for repeat business and revenue growth.
  • Direct report to Regional Sales Segment Manager

Preferred:

  • Extensive knowledge of fire service products including SCBA, fire helmets, Turn-out gear and portable gas detectors.
  • Demonstrated success with strategy development, applying strong understanding of go- to-market initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication (including written and verbal technical and non-technical), interpersonal and management skills.
  • Proven track record of understanding customer needs and recommending solutions to assure customer satisfaction within the fire service market.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to guide, mentor and motivate
  • Proven planning and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to grasp technical product
  • Experience with social media for communication purposes
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks with little
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, analytical skills and strong negotiation
