Description CAMS (Community Association Management Services), HOA Management company is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician/Handy Man to perform general maintenance/projects and assist in the oversight of contractors/vendors at HOAs varying from single-family to high-rise condos in Charlotte, NC and surrounding areas. Locations of sites are mainly in uptown Charlotte but can go as far north as Davidson and as far south as Fort Mill. A company vehicle will be provided with proof of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Hours of Work: Mon-Fri, 7:30 am-4:30 pm with the possibility of overtime and after-hours emergency calls. Hourly Rate: $20-$25 per hour based on experience. Benefits package included. Responsibilities Assist the Maintenance Supervisor and perform assigned work orders promptly Perform preventative maintenance task to maintain the physical integrity of the properties Ensure a safe and secure living environment for residents and visitors Anticipate, identify and correct problems involving the properties Assist in the oversight of contractors and vendors Follow up on service requests and communicate with managers for the highest quality of customer service Requirements The position requires at least 2 years experience in property maintenance or equivalent field Attendance and punctuality are essential Ability to speak, read, and write English Ability to work outside in various weather conditions Must be available to perform after-hours emergency calls when needed Must be able to respond to emergencies promptly when on-call Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record Must have comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems Must have general construction knowledge, including but not limited to light sheetrock repairs and painting Must have general knowledge of swimming pool operation Must be knowledgeable and skilled with the use of various hand and power tools, lift heavy objects, and climb ladders of varying heights Must have basic computer skills to input and complete work orders Must have excellent communication skills to provide the highest quality of customer service Benefits The CAMS compensation package includes: Paid Time Off Company Paid Holidays Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans are available 401(k) Life Insurance Short-term Disability Long-term Disability Accident coverage Critical Illness coverage Employee Assistance Program
