The opportunity
QBE European Operations (EO) are looking for a talented Management Information (MI) Analyst to join our Finance Performance Reporting team in our London office. As an MI Analyst, you will play a crucial role in providing insightful financial analysis and data-driven recommendations to support strategic decision-making. This position requires a keen analytical mind, attention to detail, and a passion for leveraging data to drive business performance.
Your new role
As our MI Analyst you will provide technical expertise to assist the design and implementation of our reporting strategy and use reporting tools to develop and support activity across the business

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the implementation of the team plans to ensure these are in line with wider business strategy and reflect key priorities.
  • Support the development of a fit-for-purpose reporting tool strategy in order to provide customers with standard reports and analytical tools which meet and anticipate user needs.
  • Support the development of reporting and data requirements included in projects, in order to achieve business goals and priorities.
  • Review MI/Reporting, seeking areas for improvements and/or rationalization to enhance effectiveness
  • Use expertise to support delivery of MI small changes e.g. addition of new data fields, calculated values etc in order to support users and minimize disruption to applications and tools.
  • Ensure that the needs of business clients/users are fully understood and proactively resolve issues and queries in order to facilitate effective reporting
  • Responsible for the production of our monthly pricing metrics and quarterly performance management data submission to Lloyds

About you

  • Excellent communication and effective stakeholder management abilities
  • Significant experience in the insurance industry, financial services or a regulated environment
  • Extensive MI experience in a business facing, client support role with technical BI/MI skills to support the role
  • Problem solving and negotiation skills with excellent planning and organising abilities
  • Networking skills and influencing skills
  • Excellent MS Excel capabilities
  • Experience using visualisation tools e.g. Power BI
