Job Description:
About Us
Grant Thornton International Ltd (GTIL) is the umbrella legal entity for the Grant Thornton global network of member firms. GTIL sets the strategic direction, convenes member firms, connects global communities, and protects the brand and reputation of the network. GTIL and the member firms will continually improve the sustainability of their operations and strive to make a positive impact on clients, people, markets, and the communities in which we operate, in line with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Role Purpose
The person in this role will further develop and implement GTIL’s content strategy through ongoing planning and execution of content design and creation – culminating in engaging stories and relevant messages that cut through the noise of the market and expand our impact. Integrating a brand and data-led campaign approach to thought-leadership content building brand credibility, trust, and preference.
You will join the Content team in exploring the GTIL content strategy where together we are defining what success looks like and collaborating to deliver, test and optimise the most compelling thought leadership in the market today.
Main responsibilities
AT GTIL, our international corporate marketing is content driven. You will be responsible for helping to expand our impact by building on and executing the content strategy. To develop a consistent brand identity for GTIL, create a connection to a global audience, and build our global presence through inspiring, human-centric, and globally consistent content.

A natural storyteller, you’ll enjoy getting to the heart of what’s important and driving content that brings this message to life in a creative and easy to understand way. You will guide the content processes on all platforms in support of brand activities, data-led campaigns as well as standalone projects.

  • Co-create and continuously refine the content strategy for GTIL thought leadership to increase brand awareness and our share of voice globally
  • Own the development of one of our content themes and develop compelling content plans that will emotionally connect with our audiences and encourage them to act. By integrating brand and data-led campaigns as a key part of our content strategy
  • Lead the creation of engaging content assets for our global audiences, both internally and externally, by scripting the overarching narrative and angle, and bringing the relevant teams together in advance and driving the content process in a timely manner
  • Champion content by working closely with brand, digital teams, and agency resources to create clear messaging on different platforms that’s on brand and on strategy
  • Work closely with Research and Insights Manager to bring regular insights, market trends and competitor analysis into the discussion, and help uncover stories our competitors haven’t thought of yet
  • Work closely with the digital team to monitor the performance of content
  • Use internal platforms and tools to regularly update and deploy content, through your own initiative and the help of the whole team
  • Unearth authentic stories from around the network to connect meaningfully with our audience by building strong relations with different groups, service line, industry and regional marketing leads
  • Contribute to a ‘helpful’ culture where we work collaboratively as a Content Team, sharing learnings, updates and ongoing suggestions on what can be leveraged or is in need of support.

Project-specific:

  • Drive the creation of a new feedback portal or process, that will encourage knowledge sharing and an understanding of results when it comes to international content campaigns. Drive the development of this portal, lead the strategy for launching and using this internally, and the process needed to keep it updated. Engaging with relevant team members as part of the process.

Person Specification
We are looking for someone who will champion a creative perspective and bring fresh thinking to what we already have. You will own parts of the content strategy and need to be comfortable working with a broad range of stakeholders and adept at project management. International experience or time spent previously in a global role is a prerequisite for success.

Experience - essential

  • Passion for content marketing and storytelling
  • Solid organisational and time management skills
  • Finely tuned attention to detail with a strong ability to keep content messaging aligned
  • Excellent project management skills, in addition to a keen sense of initiative, flexibility, and resourcefulness
  • Experience in creating content that drives connection and encourages change around issues on both Sustainability and DE&I
  • Strong creative and communications skills. The candidate also must be tech savvy and willing to use tools and technology to manage workflow and execution of content delivery.
  • Analytically curious and embrace using reporting tools
  • Able to develop relationships and work with a wide array of internal and external partners in content development, production and measurement, video distribution, and social media.
  • A collaborative team member yet provocative contributor.
