Description

Local Compliance in terms of MAS Regulatory Compliance for CMS licensed entities in the Group:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with MAS regulations including Notices, Guidelines, and circulars relevant to the business.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments and assess their impact on company operations.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of MAS regulatory reports and notifications (e.g., periodic compliance reports, surveys and questionnaires, licensed representatives, directorships changes).
  • Review of Corporate Governance Report, Board Evaluation Performance Questionnaire and Confirmation of Independence Form.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal policies and procedures to ensure adherence to MAS regulations.
  • Perform compliance reviews and risk assessments to identify gaps and recommend remedial actions.
  • Liaise with MAS and auditors on regulatory matters.
  • Coordinate with external auditors or consultants during compliance assessments or regulatory audits.

Group Compliance

  • Assist the Group Compliance team in coordinating the compliance function across all business units and subsidiaries within the group, including setting up group-wide compliance strategies, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements across jurisdictions, and fostering a strong compliance culture at all levels.
  • Establish and periodically update compliance policies, procedures, and controls to reflect current regulations and risk appetite.
  • Implement the design and execution of control testing, compliance monitoring, and surveillance programs.
  • Assist with due diligence and compliance integration activities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Compliance / Finance or Business-related degree.
  • Has more than 8 years of experience in one or more of the following fields: compliance, legal, regulatory and/or corporate secretarial.
  • Excellent written and spoken English (and another Asian language, Mandarin preferred), with strong ability to write reports of a high quality.
  • Meticulous, independent, self-motivated person who can manage workload and meet deadlines.
  • Committed team member to assist in various governance and compliance related projects and assignments.
