As the Manager, Operations, you will be responsible for creating a culture of empowerment that will enhance the delivery of the highest level of customer service. Train, motivate, develop, and support while fostering an atmosphere of accountability where employees have the autonomy to make decisions that solidify our customer relationships.
A Day in the Life

Team Leadership and Performance

  • Plans, directs, and manages the workflow of the Fuel and Taxable Benefits team; developing, assigning, and planning work schedules to ensure departmental goals and specific budget targets are achieved.
  • Leads the team by encouraging communication, continuous process improvement, decision-making, and accountability.
  • Empowers and coaches Program Specialist and team leads to make confident decisions to grow and strengthen client relationships.
  • Fosters a client-focused culture, grounded in teamwork and collaboration, with processes that enable the team to deliver services excellence in a consistent, efficient manner.
  • Ensures team is sufficiently supported, trained, and resourced to effectively meet client expectations.
  • Delivers frequent and honest feedback regarding performance against metric/goals.
  • Coaches to maximize effectiveness of top performers; identify and develop corrective action plans for low performers.
  • Motivate the team by encouraging communication, new ideas, decision-making and ownership.
  • Identifies training opportunities for team members to ensure up-to-date knowledge of new products, processes, and organization changes.
  • Applies leadership and supervision in managing day to day execution and timely processing of stock non-upfit orders.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and management of team and individual Goals & Objectives that are aligned with the goals of the organization.

Support and Manage Operational Processes

  • Establishes, documents, and maintains operational procedures and processes to ensure customer-focused, cost-effective, and efficient processes.
  • Partners with key stakeholders within Operations, FPS, and the Commercial organization to address client issues, concerns, and exceptions.
  • Collaborates with Product Management and Strategic Alliances to manage suppliers and implement new processes
  • Works closely with Suppliers to ensure that services are being provided in a way that meets Element and our clients needs.
  • Researches and provides solutions for client service issues (CSIs).
  • Conduct root cause analysis to proactively identify specific problem areas, exceptional transactions and trends and work with team members to make recommendations for new and/or corrective action.
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities and implements solutions with the goal of achieving a zero-defect culture; partnering with the business where relevant to implement vetted solutions.
  • Manages Service Cloud metrics and owns monthly KPI achievement of metrics.

Team Strategy and Growth

  • Collaborates with customers (internal and external) to better understand fuel and taxable benefits strategy as it relates to products, process, and capabilities.
  • Leads and consults on continuous improvement projects that will streamline and optimize our daily operation, create more effective internal workflow, and provide additional capacity.
  • Fosters a mindset of partnership across the business that drives customer-centricity, responsiveness, and a sense of urgency.
  • Builds relationships, influences business partners, stimulates collaboration, and drives commitment to achieve shared goals of clients and Element.
  • Identifies and secures talent to maximize team performance; analyzes work volumes and patterns and adjust staffing to ensure maximum effectiveness.
  • Plans, manages, and implements special projects or initiatives as assigned.
  • Annual budget and on-going operating budget management

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree required
  • 5-7 years of relevant supplier and/or client-facing experience, preferably in a B2B or fleet management environment
  • Prior people leadership experience including demonstrated success in maximizing individual and team performance to achieve department objectives and positively impacting employee engagement.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing metrics to manage the department, identifying process and technology improvement opportunities and building strong relationships with business partners.
