Description

The Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) is actively recruiting for a Manager, Policy & Stakeholder Engagement to join our Public & Professional Affairs department.
We are a fully remote workforce and are looking for someone who is able to be fully productive, efficient and effective in a remote environment.
This is a three-year term position with the possibility of extension based on organizational needs and performance.

JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Policy & Stakeholder Engagement will play a critical role in shaping pharmacy and health policy, fostering strategic relationships, and ensuring effective communication with key stakeholders.
A key component of this role will be supporting CPhA’s engagement with senior leaders in pharmacy through the Pharmacy Business Council, ensuring meaningful discussions on policy issues. This position will also support communications geared toward CPhA’s key partners, including pharmacy organizations, regulators, and industry interest holders.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public policy, political science, business administration, health administration, communications, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

Relevant and sufficient experience in policy development, stakeholder engagement, preferably in health care, pharmacy, or a related sector, commensurate with the level of Manager.

SKILLS

  • Exceptional policy analysis and research skills, with experience developing policy recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in developing policy and stakeholder-facing materials.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate high-level meetings and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to align multiple interests.
  • Bilingualism is a strong asset.
