Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

The Production Manager is accountable for the department safe operation and on-time, on-budget, and high-quality project delivery. They will foster a high performing team by promoting accountability, providing training opportunities and an open communication environment. Leveraging lean manufacturing the manager will drive continuous improvement efforts, removing waste and optimizing processes resulting in higher throughput and better quality. To succeed, the manager will need to be results-oriented, a creative problem-solver and a strong team player. Setting goals, communicating clear expectations, and holding reports accountable are necessary to ensure successful executions.
This is a fully onsite position. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8-4pm EST at our facility in Brockville, Ontario

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Develop and implement strategies for operational excellence, incorporating Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize processes, minimize waste, and enhance overall efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational goals with broader organizational objectives, promoting a flexibility mindset throughout the organization.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. Engage workforce through use of Lean Principles to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. Foster a culture that promotes continuous improvement of people and processes.
  • Encourage an environment of open discussion and constructive argumentation, fostering a safe and collaborative space that results in informed decision-making and a cohesive work environment.

  • Implement personalized training and development programs to enhance team members’ skills and capabilities, empowering each team member to reach their full potential within the organization.

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to meet and exceed organizational goals, emphasizing timely and quality-driven results.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure work environment. Ensure manufacturing operations comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
