POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the design and implementation of work cells in machining and assembly, maintaining standard work per KPS guidelines.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for process improvements and daily manufacturing engineering support to the plant floor
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing cells in a manufacturing environment
  • Champion for introduction of new products to plant’s Machining & Assembly operation
  • Responsible for continuous improvement activities of the plant’s machining/assembly processes
  • Design and implement mistake proofing devices in the production floor.
  • Develop and prepare capital projects to implement process improvements
  • Participate and support Lean manufacturing and KPS activities
  • Primary responsible for PFMEA linkage and flow-down activities
  • Responsible for maintaining process documentation
  • Responsible for SAP Work centers, routings and production versions loading and maintenance
  • Has the authority to stop the production and/or shipment in case the quality of the product is compromised, in order to request the help needed to solve the problem.
  • Ensure customer requirements are met
  • Knows and Communicates the need for product safety.
  • Performs all those activities that by the nature of the position are required.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reports to plant engineering Manager.
