Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education.
The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the bar high in their highly complex market!
Vacancy Details
The purpose of this role is to provide manufacturing engineering support to the business. You will be proactively involved in developing changes and improvements to established industry and company manufacturing process and norms, to help the business on its journey to manufacturing excellence.
You will be required to lead projects in process improvement, new equipment, facilities, and safety, including researching new systems and processes within the market for potential investment, showing good levels of budget control and financial awareness.
We are looking for someone who has an HNC/Degree in engineering and who has experience in manufacturing engineering and working in Lean Manufacturing Environments, with core lean tools and methodology. Ideally you will have project management experience, and knowledge of delivering improvement projects to key business stakeholders. Knowledge of six sigma is also advantageous,
You will need strong analytical skills and good verbal and written communication skills.
We are interested in speaking to people from backgrounds such as Steel fabrication and welding, off highway automotive, general automotive, and heavy engineering and manufacturing, however these sectors are not exclusive.
