A Snapshot of Your Day
We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer who will be responsible for overseeing everything from the procurement of raw materials to the production of large compressor packages and their auxiliaries. The ideal candidate will work closely with quality inspectors and production staff to ensure that customer requirements are consistently met throughout the production process. Key responsibilities include conducting hands-on inspections, reviewing bills of materials, preparing Inspection & Test Plans, coordinating NDT activities, managing customer inspections, and creating or revising project-specific work instructions and procedures as needed.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Manage the entire quality control process, ensuring strict adherence to established plans and specifications from raw material procurement to finished goods production.
  • Ensure raw materials and certificates meet Siemens Energy standards and customer-specific requirements.
  • Work closely with quality inspectors to ensure consistent implementation of project requirements throughout the production process.
  • Conduct regular walk-throughs of compressor packages during assembly, document observations, and communicate necessary actions to the responsible group supervisor.
  • Handle non-conformances from identification to resolution, including segregation, review, follow-ups, and logging in the respective database to maintain traceability.
  • Apply standard quality problem-solving methods to identify root causes, determine corrective actions and resolve issues.
  • Perform hands-on inspections of pipe spool materials at various manufacturing stages, ensuring proper identification and traceability of fabrication components.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections of products in line with corresponding engineering drawings.
  • Ensure the bill of materials for the complete package aligns with customer-specific requirements.
  • Verify that assembled pipe spools, valves, and instruments comply with P&IDs, isometrics, and BoMs.
  • Review and provide feedback on inspection plans received from vendors, ensuring full compliance with project requirements.
  • Plan and issue inspection notifications in a timely manner in accordance with the Inspection & Test Plan (ITP).
  • Coordinate with NDT service providers and outsource NDT activities as specified in the production schedule.
  • Create and revise project-specific work instructions, procedures, and policies as needed to ensure effective project execution.
  • Apply continuous improvement principles to drive process enhancements.
  • Promote a safety culture on the shop floor and coordinate safety topics with the
