Jobdesk Ensure safe and efficient vessel operations in line with company standards and international regulations. Oversee navigation practices, cargo operations, and overall seamanship onboard. Monitor vessel performance, voyage execution, and operational compliance. Ensure full compliance with International Maritime Organization regulations, including SOLAS, MARPOL, and ISM Code. Prepare and manage audits, inspections, and oil major vetting (SIRE/CDI). Ensure timely closure of findings and continuous improvement. Supervise cargo operations, including loading, discharging, and tank cleaning activities. Ensure proper handling of cargo systems, stability, and safety procedures. Monitor compliance with oil tanker operational requirements and best practices. Conduct vessel inspections, safety audits, and navigational assessments. Identify operational risks and implement preventive measures. Investigate incidents (navigation, cargo, safety) and enforce corrective actions. Act as the primary link between shore management and vessel Masters. Provide guidance to Masters and deck officers on operational and safety matters. Support vessels during critical operations and emergencies. Ensure adherence to HSE standards and promote a strong safety culture onboard. Minimize risk of marine incidents, collisions, groundings, and oil spills. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nautical Science or equivalent maritime qualification. Former Master Mariner (Captain) on oil tankers (mandatory). Expert-level knowledge in oil tanker operations (mandatory) Strong understanding of International Maritime Organization regulations, especially SOLAS, MARPOL, and ISM Code Proven experience with oil major vetting inspections (SIRE/CDI) with strong track record. Experience in marine assurance, navigation audits, and incident investigation. Strong leadership and decision-making skills; able to challenge and guide Masters effectively. Excellent communication and reporting skills in English. High level of situational awareness, risk assessment, and safety management.
