Thermo Fisher Scientific acquired FEI Company in September of 2016 as a part of the Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) in the newly-formed Materials and Structural Analysis Division (MSD).
The Mission:
Performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in receiving and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment within the cleanroom production area.
The goal is to achieve the highest efficiency at lowest costs.
Key performance indicators:
- On time and complete unpacking, quality checking and distributing of orders - Quality;
- Efficiency; - Collaboration with internal customers; - Accuracy and effective material/runner utilization; - Waiting time of other departments;
Specific responsibilities are:
➢ Transfers materials, with use of a handheld scanner, material to appropriate destinations as production departments or warehouse to verify system and location accuracy where risk of loss or damage is minimalized;
➢ Operates material handling equipment independently as well within a team environment
➢ Distributes and cleans (transport) tooling for production departments;
➢ Ensure all materials are properly inspected and identified; ➢ Monitors KanBan and inventory levels on the manufacturing floor to ensure the continuous flow of parts to production;
➢ Pick Cleanroom KanBan reverse work orders;
➢ Standardizes way of working;
➢ Uses 5S to keep a clean work environment, signal on issues;
Position Requirements
The candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:
➢ Required technical knowledge:
Warehouse and Cleanroom Logistics processes; Basic technical and mechanical ability to understand equipment
Cleanliness and cleanroom working;
➢ Ability to work well with others to accomplish objectives;
Required interactions that would demonstrate ability to optimally do this role: Team player
➢ Required knowledge of software packages and planning systems used to do the job optimally:
QAD, Serena Business Manager, Final test and Teamcenter ➢ Communications requirements: Basic reading and writing in English and Dutch to complete required documentation and to understand required procedures
