The Role & What You Will Be Doing
Reporting to the Senior Projects & Validation Manager, the Mechanical Design Engineer will have a key role to play as part of the Projects & Validation team, with key responsibilities in the area of introduction of new processes and equipment, and the implementation and development of new technologies.

  • Lead and support new equipment projects and improvements as part of an integrated project team.
  • Support the introduction of new equipment and upgrades to existing equipment with integration into existing site layouts and infrastructure.
  • Design and specification of mechanical solutions to current regulations and design standards.
  • Support the addition of new manufacturing and packaging areas with integrated layouts and processes, including the integration and commissioning of critical utilities, HVAC, air, water and electrical services.
  • Support the introduction of new products by initiating and developing any design changes required to existing equipment.
  • Update and maintain site layouts and infrastructure, providing detailed 2D and 3D layouts for new projects and upgrades to existing processes.

About Your Skills & Experience

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent PC skills with experience in AutoCAD and SolidWorks a key requirement to the role.
  • Good communication skills combined with an imaginative and creative approach to problem solving is required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Maintains a high standard in report writing.
  • Self-driven, proactive and flexible.
  • Team player.
