POSITION SUMMARY: The MA/TL is clinically responsible for the provision of services within the outpatient clinic or specialty area within WCCHC.  This position will work collaboratively with medical providers and will provide assistance with clinical supervision for support staff within a designated clinic. The person in this position will function as a team leader in the care of many patients, as a role model for support staff, and have supervisory responsibilities. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 1. High School Diploma required 2. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or greater required. If greater, (LPN or BSN), completion of program must occur within 3 years of applying for MA position. 3. Current CMA or RMA certification or greater required 4. Current BLS/BCLS certification required. Needs to be approved following AHA guidelines. Online certification acceptable if hands-on training completed and documentation can be provided to support (email from instructor, class roster or expired AHA BLS/BCLS card) 5. 5 years clinical experience in an outpatient clinic preferred 6. 2 years of leadership experience preferred 7. Ability to train and evaluate clinic support staff and students (evaluate staff competency, quality of work, workflow, scheduling, professional behavior and dress). 8. Proficient in the following computer skills:  word processing, entering data onto and sorting data in spreadsheets, navigating through the internet, email, and experience with electronic health records 9. Communication skills (verbal and written) required 10. Ability to work in partnership with community health organizations 11.
