Get to Know Your Team: Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital, with 263 licensed beds, providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology and oncology services. Responsibilities As needed coverage for Gammaknife treatments with radiation oncologists. Will manage patient imaging, planning, patient treatment and quality assurance, and machine quality assurance (QA) under the supervision of Chief Medical Physicist. Note the coverage will be in a solo setting while Chief is at offsite external beam location. Will also conform to radiation safety guidelines set by hospital radiation safety officer (RSO). Qualifications Job Requirements: MS/PhD degree and current American Board of Radiology certification in Therapeutic Medical Physics. 3 + years of experience. Prior experience with Gammaknife Icon including prior and/or current Authorized Medical Physicist (AMP) status on RAM license in or out of state of NM.
Responsibilities
The Medical Physicist will manage patient imaging, treatment planning, and quality assurance for Gammaknife procedures. They will work under the supervision of the Chief Medical Physicist while adhering to hospital radiation safety guidelines.
