The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety (CPPS) is responsible for overseeing Saskatchewan’s correctional system and facilities, providing the safe and secure custody of adult and youth offenders and delivering programs that promote safety and reduce re-offending.

Mental Health Correctional Officers are professionals who work directly with adult offenders, holding them accountable and supporting positive change in their lives, while maintaining the safe and secure operation of the facility.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• The COPAT requirement for employment has been temporarily replaced by a comprehensive medical evaluation completed by a licensed medical practitioner.
  Should you receive a successful offer of employment, you will be enrolled into a paid, full-time, 11-week Induction Training Program (ITP). The next ITP will start on January 13, 2025.
