Jardeg Construction is recruiting a Lube Technician for Maintenance positions at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta.
Charter flights are provided from Calgary/Edmonton to site! Shift schedules will be on a 14/14 rotation, 12 hours per day. While working on site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facility, Wi-Fi, commissary and much more! We also have new HIGHER rates for all craft workers!
Lube technicians maintain, repair, and troubleshoot stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in sites such as factories, production plants and recreational facilities. Lubrication (Lube) Technicians play a pivotal role in ensuring rotating equipment’s reliability and optimal performance.
Responsibilities:
- Execute lubrication Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks on rotating equipment in the field.
- Follow defined routes and Work Orders (WOs) for lubrication tasks, meticulously recording findings.
- Implement the Lubrication program and strategy to enhance equipment reliability.
- Actively participate in team Work Improvement Goals (WIGs) to drive continuous improvement.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures. Provide valuable input in developing effective lubrication-related procedures and standards.
- Ensure equipment cleanliness and collaborate with operations for necessary cleaning before introducing new oil (contamination control).
- Monitoring a variety of rotating equipment, such as Pumps, Motors, Compressors, Gearboxes through our Operator Directed Reliability program
- Monitoring Filtration, Hydraulic and Conveyor systems. Adjustments to lube levels as required
- Filter changes, Oil and Air
- Operating Service trucks, Forklifts, Flat Deck and Pick up trucks
- Operating Client owned Lubrication Trucks and all pumps associated with lubrication distribution activities.
- Operation of Positive and Non-Positive displacement pumps
- Mechanically inclined with solid knowledge and use of basic hand tools
- Maintain an inventory of replacement parts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Registered Millwright Journeyperson
- Satisfactory Completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
- Energy Safety Canada Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
- Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
- Energy Safety Canada Confined Space Entry and Monitor
- Energy Safety Canada Wood Buffalo wildlife awareness
- Standard First Aid (Level A or C)
- Basic Rigging
- Machinery Lubrication Technician (MLT) Level 1
- Driver’s License & 3 years’ drivers abstract
