Description:
2. High Performance Preparation and Management
- To develop a long term High Performance Plan for BMX Cycling, in consultation with SCF’s Head Coach, High Performance Director and the High Performance Sub-Committee.
- To prepare SCF’s National BMX Squad (and NDS/YDS) in the areas of Physical, Technical, Tactical, Mental and Connectedness for Major Games and all other competitions and training stints. This shall be achieved in consultation with SCF’s Head Coach, High Performance Director and High Performance Sub-committee.
- To plan, coordinate and review the National BMX Squad’s (and YDS/NDS) multi-year periodised training plan in consultation with SCF’s Head Coach, High Performance Director and High Performance Sub-Committee.
- To ensure that training and session plans are available and implemented prior to each coaching session.
- To review each training session in consultation with SCF’s Head Coach, High Performance Director and High Performance Sub-committee

Responsibilities:
OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
To prepare SCF’s BMX Youth Development Squad (YDS) / National Development Squad (NDS) / National Training Squad (NTS) in the areas of Physical, Technical, Tactical, Mental and Connectedness, specific to BMX Racing for Major Games and all other competitions and training stints.
To plan, coordinate, conduct and review the BMX NDS, NTS, YDS training sessions to optimise performance outcomes of each cyclist.
To engage and assist with the development of Singaporean Coaches, when necessary.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB ROLE
- Coaching
- Formulate training programmes and utilise relevant resources and expertise for the promotion of cycling and development of medal-winning elite cyclists.
- To advise on the development of a coaching structure in BMX cycling that will support the development of coaches and cyclists at all levels of the sport.
- To provide leadership in the use of sports science for the development of medal-winning elite cyclists.
To mentor, conduct technical courses, plan and make provisions for the practical coaching attachment of identified coaches, when necessary.

To plan, coordinate and conduct quarterly performance cycling profiling and refine/add value to SCF’s current athlete selection process.
- Transfer of Expertise
- To mentor and train identified local coaches, as and when required.
- Development of BMX Track
- To advise the SCF Board on the design of the BMX Track at Brickland.
- To be available during the BMX Track construction phase to test and advise on the track design.
- To conduct training sessions specifically for youth and junior BMX cyclists.
In conjunction with the SCF Head Coach and High Performance Director, develop a training syllabus, daily session plans, scheduling of participants and coaches specific to the BMX Track.
5. Budget Management
To prepare the National BMX Squad’s (and NDS/YDS) budget in consultation with the SCF’s High Performance Manager, and submit to SCF’s Board for final approval.

- To regularly keep SCF informed of updates and progress.
- To submit quarterly reports to SCF on progress made in specified areas of responsibility.
- To submit all other reports and statistics as and when required.
To report to the SCF High Performance Director, Head Coach and High Performance Manager
