Position available for Network Technology Management Specialist responsible for daily operational support for change and incident/problem management roles supporting various LAN, WAN and WLAN network infrastructure technologies. Candidate will collaborate with Network Service Teams along with various vendors and customers as needed, in efforts to provide operationally stable and secure networks for the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities Includes:

  • Schedule in accordance with published change windows.
  • Participate on WebEx bridges to diagnose, identity and restore complex network issues that impacts customer network services
  • Participate in planning meetings and ensure standards are implemented and
  • Assist in development of outstanding processes.
  • Manage and implement customer-initiated network change requests for Change Management
  • Configure, upgrade and maintain enterprise level router and switch configurations
  • Configure, upgrade and maintain enterprise level wireless LAN controllers and access point configurations
  • Plan, schedule, communicate and implement WAN, LAN, EDC, WLAN and associated technologies (SD WAN, ACI, server switching and F5 load balancing, etc.)
  • Participate in implementing weekend/weekday changes on a three week rotating
  • Collaborate with Network Service teams service owners
  • New standards/projects/implementations/technologies
  • Provide technical direction to Network Analysts and Administrators for network software and hardware implementations
  • Provide operational support that requires weekend on call for change and incident management (including break/fix) on a scheduled rotational basis
  • Ability to understand and perform scripting languages such as JavaScript, PHP, Python, VBScript.
  • Configuration management and automation development
  • Develop operational processes, procedures and documentation for peers to participate in new and emerging network technologies (i.e. Cisco ACI, SDWAN, Optical networking, Cisco 9000 series, IoT, Smart Buildings, advances in wireless, etc.)

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelors’ Degree, Computer Science or Computer Engineer
  • 3+ Years’ of network experience
  • CCNA Wireless & R/S certification

Our preferred requirements:

  • Bachelor’ in Computer Science
  • 5+ Years’ of Network experience
  • Knowledgeable of RF deployment considerations related to site survey design of data or VoWLAN
  • Broad understanding large scale network layers (core, distribution and access)
  • Solid grasp of the OSI Model network L2/L3 switching and routing protocols (IP, TCP ARP, ICMP, UDP, SMTP, FTP, TFTP)
  • Experience in configuring and troubleshooting of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, IGRP, EIGRP)
  • Proficient in configuring and trouble-shooting Cisco routers and switches (3850, 3850 stacks, Nexus 5000, 7000 & 9000 series and supporting software
  • Ability to configure various Cisco platform hardware which includes Cisco WLCs, APs, bridges and switches (NX-IOS), Cisco NCS 2000, Cisco VSS, ACI ,SDWAN and DNA technologies)
  • Experience with common network changes (VLAN, ACL, ext. ACL, VTP, QOS (policy maps and LLQ markings))
  • Experience with performance management tools
  • Solid grasp of F5 server load balancing devices (F5 GTM/LTM)
  • Strong understanding of Wireless technologies (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax Bluetooth, WiMAX, ZigBee)
  • Understanding of 802.11 authentication and encryption methods (Open, Shared, 802.1X, EAP, TKIP, AES)
  • Lead and coordinate DNA, Prime Infrastructure & Splunk
