JOB OVERVIEW

If you are tired of the long hospital shifts, overnight shifts, and the heavy patient load where you cannot spend adequate time providing great care, then clinical research might be for you! We have a fun, positive team environment and just opened a brand new clinic to work in as well! You will get to see cutting edge medical treatments, medical devices and vaccines through clinical research.
As a Nurse Practitioner/Sub-Investigator in clinical research, you will work closely with the Principal Investigator (MD) and Clinical Research Coordinators to conduct trials. The Nurse Practitioner plays a critical role in the conduct and success of the clinical trial including acting as the Sub-Investigator through clinical assessments of study participants and evaluation of safety assessments. In total, you will oversee the patient’s participation throughout the clinical trial to ensure their safety and well-being.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Nurse Practitioner or equivalent
  • Active Georgia Medical License
  • We love new graduates!
  • Previous Clinical Research experience is not required and all training will be provided

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and Evaluating Clinical Trial Protocols (always something new to learn!)
  • Performing Physical Examinations
  • Performing Study-Specific Medical Assessments (all study specific medical assessments you will be provided training for through the study sponsor)
  • Assessing Lab Results and Interpreting ECGs
  • Ensuring the Clinic Provides an Overall Positive Experience for all Patients
  • Learning and Preparing for New Clinical Trials at the Site
  • Attending Investigator Meetings (Optional, US based, all expenses paid)
  • Assisting in Chart Review/Quality Assurance
  • Communicating with Protocol Medical Monitors from the Sponsor
  • Conduct patient visits in the absence of the Principal Investigator
  • Support site clinical staff (Clinical Research Coordinators, nurses) and provide guidance as needed
