SUMMARY

This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, USCG PACAREA/D11, Air Station San Francisco, Aviation Engineering Division, San Francisco, CA..

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have completed at least 1 full year of experience (equivalent to the GS-6 level in the federal service) performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties that included the use of word processing, database management, spreadsheets, or other similar office automation applications software and transmitting, receiving and acknowledging electronic mail and messages; assembling data from files; and receiving visitors and callers for an office.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is in the Aviation Engineering Department at Coast Guard Air Station San Francisco. The primary purpose of the position is to perform a variety of office automation and clerical work using any combination of word processing, database management, spreadsheet and electronic mail software.
Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.

Typical work assignments include:

  • Performing review of maintenance procedure card (MPC) and enters data into (ACMS), (ATS), and (ALMIS) systems. .
  • Sorting and distributing aviation systems documentation such as ACMS MPC cards, publication updates, etc.
  • Transcribing a variety of correspondence and reports from handwritten or typed drafts into proper format, and using knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, capitalization and punctuation.
  • Consolidating reports from information furnished, complies tabular material, summaries of subject matter and prepares charts.
  • Managing unit Technical Measuring and Diagnostic Equipment program to include the Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratories (PMEL) program.
  • Arranging for tool transport to Travis Air Force Base calibration facility or other outside vendor in a timely manner to ensure tools are calibrated according to required schedule.
  • Developing and improve spreadsheets to track tools requiring calibration.
