The Idaho State Police and Idaho Brand Board are currently seeking a part-time Office Specialist 2 to assist the Brand Inspectors in the Idaho Falls Brand District. Please visit the Brand Board Website at https://isp.idaho.gov/brands/ for more information.
PLEASE NOTE: The successful applicant will be required to complete a full background investigation and polygraph examination. Please review the Idaho State Police Disqualifiers.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform specialized financial record keeping, maintenance, review, verification, and support functions;
  • Use bookkeeping methods and procedures to prepare work/spread sheets, standardize summaries and reports, and perform reconciliation;
  • Use automated systems and system software to enter, retrieve and edit financial data, and prepare financial documents;
  • Research accounting systems and records to identify and correct errors in financial transactions;
  • Has latitude in explaining and applying policies, procedures or regulations, and in determining if financial data meets compliance standards;
  • Clerk duties at Blackfoot auction;
  • Accounts receivable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Good knowledge of:

  • Rules of effective business English usage, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

Experience:

  • Using alphabetical, numerical, or subject filing systems to include determining file names, setting up new files, classifying, labeling, filing, and retrieving;
  • Reviewing documents for compliance with established procedures;
  • Using a computer to enter and retrieve information;
  • Answering a business telephone using knowledge of business telephone procedures and etiquette.
