Working with the Manager, Occupational Health and Safety, this role is involved with implementing, administering, and updating the occupational health and safety program throughout our various communities and departments within Parkbridge.
This role can be based out of our QuadReal office at 199 Bay Street in Toronto, ON, or our Collingwood office at 70 Huron Street, Collingwood, ON.

WHAT YOUR SKILLS ARE:

You have a certification or Diploma in Environment, Occupational, Health and Safety, or similar program. Equivalent experience will be considered. You have been working in the Occupational Health and Safety field for at least 1- to 3 years, which may include: administering training, assessment of job hazards, conducting EHS Audits/Inspections, etc. Ideally, you have experience working in a large, multi-departmental company.

Responsibilities:

Perform

  • Support the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the occupational health and safety program and procedures for all lines of business.
  • Develop and assist with the implementation of property-specific health and safety plans.
  • Actively participate in safety audits and inspections to identify property deficiencies.
  • Assist with the investigation and tracking of work-related incidents.
  • Support communities with corrective actions in response to a safety non-compliance, with reasonable and practical solutions.
  • Provide feedback on health and safety to management via monthly safety reports, with trend analysis.
  • Availability to travel up to 33% of time during the “green season”, which runs from May to September.
  • Assist with other occupational health and safety initiatives, as required.

Engage and Communicate

  • Communicate key messages on occupational health and safety via monthly Safety talks.
  • Provide guidance and oversight on health and safety program to community and operations personnel to assist with maintaining compliance with all health and safety regulatory requirements.

Training

  • Assist with the preparation, planning and delivery of new training on occupational health and safety for all Parkbridge staff.
  • Assist in the establishment of a training matrix at the property level.
