Ambulance Victoria (AV) is now recruiting for an Operations Assistant Accountant to join their Operational Business & Planning team in the Operations Logistics Division. This is a full-time, permanent position based at AV’s Blackburn North Business Centre.
This role is responsible for assisting in the reporting and analysis of Divisional, Regional, Departmental and Projects monthly results and forecasting for AV’s Operations Division (including Road Response, Air Ambulance and Operational Support functions). The role is also responsible for supporting the annual budget bids and build.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Operations Management Accountant, the main duties of the role include (but are not limited to):

  • Monitoring and reporting of Operations’ financial performance against the approved annual budget and investigation of significant variances for variance analysis
  • Collation and preparation of month end journals, ongoing forecasts and reporting
  • Supporting the preparation of annual budgets bids, through the compilation, validation, and modelling of required information from all areas of Operations
  • Acting as a central coordination point for all Operations’ budget build matters
  • Engaging with and supporting all areas of Operations on financial reporting, governance, and business process matters
  • Developing and strengthening relationships with managers and stakeholders within Operations and across all areas of AV
