Job Description
As an Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering activities and projects to ensure the smooth flow of materials and uninterrupted operations. You will collaborate closely with production and maintenance leaders and their teams to continuously monitor and review production performance, implementing activities and projects to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering activities and projects.
- Promote the flow of materials through uninterrupted operations.
- Work closely with production and maintenance leaders and their teams.
- Continuously monitor and review production performance.
- Implement activities and projects to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
- Serve as the voice of production in collaboration with the Product Development team.
- Ensure optimal Design for Manufacture and Assembly of new products.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- Be a self-starter familiar with a variety of engineering concepts, such as:
- The practices and processes with a command of Lean Manufacturing
- Problem Solving and Project Management techniques
- Have an engineering degree (bachelor with honours or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field
- Possess a thorough understanding of ERP systems (EPICOR is a bonus) as well as BOM/MOM processes
- Be able to think creatively, adapt to evolving situations, and work within a team environment
