HANA Center (HANA) is a Chicago-area, community-based non-profit organization working to meet the critical needs of Korean, Asian American, and multiethnic immigrant communities and build power toward systemic change. HANA Center has offices in Chicago and Prospect Heights, Illinois.
HANA primarily engages low-income, limited-English proficient community members, prioritizing those who have been historically marginalized and have not had access to resources, including older adults, children and youth of color, women, undocumented immigrants, survivors of gender-based violence, LGBTQ+ individuals, and intercountry adoptees. HANA primarily serves Korean and Latine immigrants in Korean, Spanish, and English; although HANA also serves other Asian, African, and Middle Eastern immigrants and Black Americans. Currently, HANA engages 16,000 community members annually in the City of Chicago and northwest suburbs.
The Operations Team Lead works closely with the Senior Team Lead of Finance & Operations to ensure systems are working effectively and efficiently organization-wide. The Operations Team Lead serves a support role in the areas of operations, IT, event support, and staff administrative assistance.

Major Responsibilities:

• Supervises Reception staff at both offices to ensure welcoming and consistent intake procedures
• Supervises Facilities and Office Administrative staff to ensure offices are equipped, clean, safe, and in good working condition
• Manages relationship with Managed IT Services Provider (MSP) and other vendors/consultants as needed
• Oversees distribution and collection of IT hardware and software licenses ensuring accurate inventory management
• Provides administrative and logistical support for meetings, events, and facility rentals including scheduling meetings, creating documents, providing tech support, etc.
• Maintains documentation and provides support for insurance policies, renewals, and claims
• Maintains knowledge of operational trends, best practices, and applicable state and local regulations
• Completes risk assessments and compliance with funder and legal requirements
• Helps draft organizational policies and procedures
• Serves as back-up for reception staff on an as needed basis
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated commitment to immigrant rights and social, economic, and racial justice
• Belief in communities’ ability to support each other, heal, organize, and achieve desired goals together
• Experience working on Korean American, Asian American, immigrant community issues, and/or social, economic, and racial justice issues preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects with high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and proven track record of meeting deadlines
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage pressure and competing priorities effectively
• Highly motivated with the ability to take initiative, think creatively, and problem solve with a commitment to continued learning
• Strategic thinker with the ability to assess situations and propose solutions that support the organization to more effectively achieve its mission
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Technological proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom, and Adobe; prior experience with Every Action or other CRM platforms is an asset
• Bilingual proficiency in Korean is an asset
• A valid driver’s license, car, and car insurance
• Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends

Reports To: Senior Manager of Finance & Operations
Compensation: This is a full-time position with a salary range of $50,000-$60,000 and benefits that include paid leave, paid sick leave, health, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, life, and 401K.
