OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optical Manager (preference given to a Registered Optician with leadership experience) to oversee the daily operations of our optical department in West Ottawa. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail management and optical services, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service while maintaining efficient workflow within the team. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for the optical industry.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in retail management or a similar leadership role within the optical field.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology related to eye care and optical products.
  • Familiarity with laboratory processes and equipment used in eyewear production is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.
  • Proficiency in using retail management software; experience with Epic is a plus.
  • A sales-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving sales targets in a retail environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
