BURNCO Rock Products has a tremendous new opportunity for a driven professional to join our Change Management team as an Organizational Change Management (OCM) Specialist. Based out of our Calgary headquarters and reporting to the Manager of OCM, the OCM Specialist will enjoy providing support and guidance to the Executive team, to Operations and Functional Managers, and project leads in assessing readiness for proposed changes, and in developing change management strategies to successfully implement changes within the organization. You will become intimately familiar with the various aspects of BURNCO’s business across Canada and the US while working with key stakeholders to build out communications campaigns, engagement strategies, and action plans surrounding upcoming changes. You will be instrumental in identifying and supporting change leads, sponsors, and champions throughout BURNCO. Your contributions will have a definite positive impact in supporting BURNCO’s continued growth plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development and implementation of change management frameworks and plans to support upcoming changes to drive people-dependent success of organizational IT projects/strategic initiatives. Assess BURNCO’s and individual’s readiness for proposed changes;
  • Provide guidance and support to the management team, project sponsors and stakeholders, people managers and project leads to effect change roll outs that follow change management best practices. You will serve as a subject matter expert within the organization for questions regarding change management best practices and methodologies. Assist with or lead staff training and familiarization as required.
  • Considering how culture can impact change initiatives, work with key stakeholders to build out communications campaigns, engagement strategies, and action plans surrounding upcoming changes.
  • Provide the team with information to increase awareness of change initiatives, and reinforce the adoption of changed systems, tools, and processes.
  • Contribute to building organizational capability and capacity for change by building strong relationships across the organization and leverage relationships with internal stakeholders to facilitate organizational understanding of employee change journeys.
  • Collaborate with project leads and the Project Management Office to ensure that change management practices are included when planning and executing new projects. Assist in analyzing risks and preparing risk management tactics.
  • Identify key change sponsors, champions and advocators throughout the organization. Support and coach these individuals in how to help their teams transition and how to integrate change management strategies in their business activities.
  • Define change management related KPIs for the projects involved in; monitor, evaluate, and analyze the KPIs; creates reports on the success of change management strategies as changes are rolled out. Provides insights, lessons learned, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Work with the Learning & Development team as necessary to identify and address possible employee job role impacts, and to coordinate associated training.
  • Other duties as assigned.
