Description:

The post holder will provide support in the effective management of overseas and/or private patients who attend the Trust. They will require knowledge on local and national guidance which changes year on year, and provide support to staff caring for this group of patients.
a.
To deal with overseas/ private patient queries in respect of the process for treatment in a courteous and professional manner
To review private patient referrals that come into the department, and to send to the relevant consultant for clinical prioritisation
To assist in booking private patient appointments/ rooms
To assist in sending out admission and appointment letters to parents/carers with relevant instructions
To raise invoices in respect of treatment and ensure debt is recovered
To maintain patient files including copies of documents, approval forms from insurance companies etc.
To collate data/ produce reports and liaise with different stakeholders such as Government departments, medical insurance companies and GPs (depending on individual cases).
