Description:

Havenpark Communities owns and/or operates Manufactured Home communities in many
states and engages legal counsel in each state to ensure compliance with local law
in their ownership and operation of each community. As a Paralegal, you will act as the
primary point of contact for attorney-related inquiries and will manage existing and new
attorney relationships, including identifying, evaluating, and establishing engagements with
local counsels for each new state in which Havenpark Communities operates. You will
coordinate and manage legal document creation and facilitate distribution of such
documentation, provide legal consultation for Havenpark Communities, including mediation
and interpretation of responses from attorneys, and manage all legal inquiries from the
Havenpark Communities team

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in or equivalent experience in a related legal profession.
  • Credentials: Paralegal certification or equivalent legal training.
  • Experience: 3-5 years experience as a paralegal, preferably focused on the real estate or property management field.
  • Software: Strong knowledge of computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office,
  • Microsoft Excel.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of lease agreements, contract law, and legal compliance.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, proficiency in legal research and document preparation.
  • Additional Requirements: Able to pass a criminal background check, valid driver’s license, and a good driving record.

Responsibilities:

  • Attorney Liaison
  • Identify and set up new attorneys as vendors for new states that we enter.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for attorney-related inquiries.
  • Ensure efficient communication and coordination with external legal counsel.
  • Work directly with attorneys to gather input and guidance on various legal matters.
  • Coordinate and interpret responses from attorneys to ensure clarity and understanding across the business.
  • Step in to facilitate communication between the business and attorneys as needed.
  • Legal Document Creation and Management
  • Collaborate with attorneys to review contracts and legal documents.
  • Conduct thorough reviews to ensure contracts stay within the scope of compliance requirements.
  • In consultation with attorneys, create various legal documents for operational use upon request.
  • Respond promptly to requests for new documents that are not readily available.
  • In consultation with attorneys, update all lease documents regularly.
  • Legal Assistance
  • Provide consultations on legal questions regarding notices, contracts, and operational questions, and implement new operational programs.
  • Consult with attorneys to gather input and guidance on various legal matters.
  • In consultation with attorneys, provide accurate and timely resolutions to legal inquiries
